Andreea is part of the ITB team, she is most appreciated for her great touring experience, and for being super knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. We must warn you – that joy of hers is contagious! .

Where are you from, and what led you to Bucharest?

I was born in Târgovişte, one of the former capitals of Wallachia, a small and quiet town nowadays. I came to Bucharest in 2006 to study Geophysics and, as most of the people who come here to study, I stayed.

How did you end up becoming a tour guide?

I decided to study programming and going back to being a student, I needed some part-time job in my free time. Guiding was the most pleasant and flexible of the options.

What I miss most about Bucharest when I travel is the lifestyle I can have here

What I miss most about Bucharest when I travel is the lifestyle I can have here, it involves a lot of beers and dinners with my friends, beautiful architecture and a lot of cultural events.

Do you have any favorite local traditions?

Not necessarily a tradition, but I love the Christmas markets.

What’s one thing people need to know about Bucharest before they visit?

Don’t take the yellow taxis, many of them will try to ask for more than the trip is worth and not start the meter.
